Mac is better

Mac OS X doesn't crash. It's faster, and it has almost no viruses. Plus, you can run Windows programs on OS X without any performance degradation (with an application like WINE or Crossover Office on x86 compatible systems). Windows does have more programs available, programs like spyware, adware and luvbug! And it only has so many programs because it was used so widely, thus perpetuating its widespread use. Its very size makes it difficult for people to get off their Windows high.

Windows is better

Windows not only has more programs available for it, but it is also compatible with everything. The mac versions of windows programs always cost much more for the same thing. All the mac people continue to say "it doesn't crash, spyware, viruses, oh my!" If you're not an incompetent user, none of this will ever happen. Like _any_ operating system, it is the user who determines how efficient/useful the computer becomes. And, whether the mac fanboys will admit it or not, Mac programs do tend to crash. I've lost hours of work in iMovie, after saving. Its "recovery" pop-up was not helpful at all, and was only able to offer to recover what I had not lost. Finally, good luck finding pirated software for Mac. Already at the purchase of your computer, Windows is advantegious. Almost all manufacturers produce hardwares for Windows that can be used in Windows or Linux, but not in Macintosh. Windows is based on the standard type of hardware, which IBM produced already at the beginning of the history of computer. Apple always want to produce its own hardware and its own system that can not be used on other platforms to gain the total turnover for it self. Macintosh is neither a rival of Windows nor of Linux or other platforms. In short:

  • Windows is more flexible
  • Windows does a lot of things much cheaper
  • We can use many free, cheap or professional products of other companies
  • We can easily "migrate" to Linux, if we want
  • It asks always, if it wants to send private informations to Microsoft
  • It can be installed in almost all the hardwares in stores - except in those for Apple
  • Microsoft is more reliable, because
  • it doesn't put viruses in its products to crash other OSs
  • it competes with technology and not with image
  • it also develops products for other OSs and even supports linux
  • it offers good online services at live.com
  • it handles security issues very seriously
