Is inter-racial marriage a good thing?

Inter-racial marriage is survival

Races primarily developed because of the isolation of tribes across the earth. While some adaptations to the local environments were positive, with globalization this benefit is becoming less critical. Furthemore, this smaller gene pool selection weakens the overall tribe and makes it more susceptible to common diseases and illnesses.

Interracial marriage should strengthen the species by allowing a couple to compensate for their race's weaknesses in the next generation.

Let's face it, foreign girls/guys are cute and exotic. Of course they're great!

Been married to the most wonderful woman in the world for 17 years now. Not the same colour skin as me, not from the same social background. Entirely different worlds. It has enriched my life beyond belief. Our daughters are the most beautiful shade of tan. I love it. I can't understand people who reject this. Her family and community have accepted me with open arms. Two of her sisters have also married men of different races. When the whole family gets together it's like the United Nations, children of all shades running around underfoot, screaming and playing together. We have East Indian, Spanish, Chinese, Irish, French, African blood mixing together in one family. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

Inter-racial marriage is not good

It is fraught with challenges. Simply seeing an attractive person does not make a good marriage. There are many cultural differences which need to be considered. In most cases the in-laws do not accept each other as they like any good parent wants the very best for their child. When they see how the other side practice their religion or see their eating habits etc. They may be horrified and claim that's not what they set out to teach their child. It normally takes quite long if ever for the in-laws to accept each other. This can bring sever stress to the marriage then there are the children who never know if they are from the Green people or the Orange people as the school children will ask and possibly tease. This type of taunting at school level may leave marks on their adult behaviour and a deep seated hatred for those Purple coloured kids he/she went to school with. I say not good, but accept those who could not avoid their love and did so against all odds. At least they love and believe in each other. We hope that perhaps that in itself will cure the ills of others.

The problem with ethical variation is at what point does the fascination stop? Today's trend could be Vietnamese girls. tomorrows trend could be Hmong, and people who are actually influenced by this set themselves up for disaster later - like a tattoo, only worst. With a tattoo, at least you can go through laser removal surgery. With Marriage, not only are there kids, but you've given up on your own self, and your perfect soul mate out there and helps cause them to settle "down" also - it's a loose loose. This is what happens when people are unconscious and untrue to themselves - that very thing manifests: they marry someone untrue also.
